Virginia Beach Apt

Our apartment, Catina Arch, Virginia Beach, VA. It was tiny - only 500sq ft including the patio. The rent was $695 per month, not including water or electric. We painted two accent walls to match the blue and green dishes we asked for/received as wedding gifts.

In May of 2004, we packed up our home 28 Alpine Knoll, Fairport, New York, and headed to Virginia Beach, VA after a vacation to Alberta in late May/June. We came back for our things in July, once we found housing in Virginia.

Random & Vehicle

Some pictures my younger siblings mailed to me, displayed on our fridge in NY.

We used to have TONS of fun hosting our friends from Ontario for the weekend

Brian bought this car from someone in Fairport in May of 2003, when the car he bought from his sister Lauren, a very old Corolla, died. On April 24, 2004, we got into an accident on the way home from work. We only had one vehicle. It was a not at fault accident - we hit a snowplow truck, but it was his fault:-) In any case, the car was totaled. I we both really loved that car.

toyota celica. I always wanted one, and then I had one, and then it was gone!

We paid $2000 for this Jetta, private sale. Biggest mistake ever. We owned it for 2 weeks, and it broke down every single day we had it. We gave it away to a young kid we knew who was going to try and fix it.
So, we bought this 2000 Honda Accord - our very first car loan! It cost $10,000, but we had used most of our money for the other car, so we got a loan for the balance. We bought this one from a dealership, Adrenaline Autohaus. They sold very pricey Porsches etc, and this car was traded in, and not something they wanted on their lot. So we really got an excellent deal, it was worth more than we paid for it. This car NEVER broke down one single time, from the day we bought it, to the day we sold it in 2012. We adored this car.

Fairport NY Apt

Brian secured this rental, it was about 700 sq ft, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom in Fairport New York, in January of 2003. He started working for Promark Electronics in Honeoye Falls at that point, and this is where I moved to when we married in June '03. The rent was I believe $595 per month, and Fairport is "off the grid" harnessing their own power from the Erie Canal or something like that. So our electric bill was VERY cheap every month. I believe the biggest bill we got, running a/c all the time was $7.something. Never over $8 a month? Yes please! We LOVED the location (on the canal) of our little home in Fairport.
