1st Christmas

Kenna had her very first sickness, on Christmas Day 2006. She got a fever and was so irritable, but I held her off until the 26th before going to the Dr's (they were closed on Christmas, of course). She had a double ear infection! I was worried about it, as we were leaving for Alberta 2 days later, and I didn't know how the flights would affect her, but she was fine. I was also worried about how to keep the medicine chilled for the long travel. But freezer packs in a soft cooler worked well. On our way home from AB we missed our flight out of Chicago due to "weather" delays in Edmonton, and we had to stay over, but our luggage was checked through! Yikes! We ran out of diapers & were low on formula, so Brian walked from the hotel to a nearby Target and got us some more supplies. Good Mommy reminder when flying, bring way more than you need!!

We spent actual Christmas Day with Brian's family at our house, and then did a late Christmas with my family once we arrived in AB.
